There are so many reasons to camp near Hood Canal. The scenery is pretty awesome for one. We camped at “Scenic Beach State Park”, it is aptly named as the view across the canal to the Olympic Mountains is just incredible.

Puget Sound Fishing Report Week ending July 25th, 2020
This week was a mixed bag for many anglers fishing for salmon in Puget Sound. There are kings rounding the corner and coming in, but success has been scattered over multiple locations and techniques.
As I mentioned in last week’s report, there is so much bait between the Strait and Sound, that these salmon are in no hurry. Let’s dig in!

Mt Rainier National Park is a must-visit destination within the Pacific Northwest.
We had an incredible experience camping at Elkamp (recently renamed from Eastcreek Campground just south of Elbe. We spent some time in Mt Rainier National Park to do some sightseeing and hiking, but also just relaxed and explored around the campground. Elkamp was an excellent, well-maintained private campground that we will definitely be returning to in the future.
