Will we get more openers in MA9 and MA10? That's the question everyone wants to know. While I don't know the answer to that question in 9, I'm certain we will get more time in 10 based on looking at the creel data in 2025 vs 2024. I will break it down in the video, and you can see exactly what I'm talking about. First, you have to suffer through a few minutes of my crew salmon fishing last week in MA9 and having some decent success too!

week we uh decided to take advantage of

the one day Mariner 9 opener and we went

up to possession.

Got one fish on a plug, but it uh got

off. We hit the boat. So, uh fishing was

tough at first. I think we were there

kind of at the wrong wrong time, wrong

part of the bar. And so, we decided to

head over to Pointe Point and fish kind

of the EB going west of there and Skunk

And we proceeded to hook quite a few

fish. Had some different gear failures

Let's talk real quick about where we are

in the quotas. You know, it's we don't

know exactly how to translate Creole

data to the WFW quota numbers. But, you

know, given that Marine Area 9 and 10

basically hit their quotas, we're very

near in 2024, you can kind of look at

to to estimate where we might be so far

this year. But first, let's just look at

the the angller versus catch data for

for each of these areas. So, here we're

looking at nine. And you can see, you

know, kind of the typical pattern. The

first day is the best day, and it kind

of goes down from there. there was

enough fish left on the table to get us

one more day and nine potentially two

more days. Now, let's look at take a

look at uh marine area 10 and you could

see that really not a whole ton of fish

have been caught in Marine Area 10.

better in terms of uh the the shnook

its peak here over the next week and

then I do believe we're going to get

the typical areas, but there's already a
